Digital Foundation_Assignment 4


Using MakeyMakey, I would like to build a toys' band. In my childhood memory, "Dolls and dancing bear" was one of my favorite song that can make me happy. Therefore, I gave every toy one note and let them play this song using piano. The following sample video is a pretty short one as there were  only limited wires to control more tones. Hope that my toys band can play more complicated songs in the future.

After reading Gears of my Childhood , I started to realize the importance of "laws of learning" that we may form from a very young age. I created a mini game named "Butterfly Catcher" in Scratch. This game evokes my childhood memory of catching butterflies. This was an important outdoor activity when I was a child - my friends and I always enjoyed staying in nature and caught the beautiful butterflies. We observed this amazing insect and then set them free. I believe that our first biology class was from the nature. Moreover, "Butterfly fly away" is one of my favorite song in Hannah Montana,   which is the first US TV series I have ever watched. My pop-up card is designed with a topic of skull. To celebrate the incoming Halloween, I would like to add some cartoon figures of skulls and ghosts. On the cover of my card, I drew two lovely ghosts and wrote "Happy Halloween". When you open the card, a skull with two orange shiny eyes will pop up. I drew the outline of the skull on one paper, and craved it with a knife. Then I built the electric circuit on the other paper. I put the "skull" above the circuit and marked the location of two eyes. Finally, I connected with the battery and the card gave out the lights.
